Installing ATI video drivers on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx is significantly easier then installing the driver from the Official binary downloaded from the ATI website, as required by previous version of Ubuntu.

  1. From the main Desktop screen when you log in, go to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers (Visual 1)
  2. Enter the root password when prompt, then select the ATI driver, and click enable (Visual 2)
  3. Reboot the computer, as required
  4. Go to System -> Preferences -> ATI Control Center (Visual 3)
  5. Use the intuitive control panel to adjust your display settings
